Welcome to F1pundit

Welcome to topPUNDIT's new Grand Prix prediction league, F1pundit. Here, you can predict the outcome of each of this year's races, both in qualifying and the race itself and pit yourself against your mates. What better way to see which of all you MotorMouths out there actually knows best? Maybe you'll be popping champagne on the podium, come season end!

You can predict all 17 rounds of this year's championship, starting in Australia in March. We will be running a league for anybody that want's to join us, or alternatively, rope some of your friends together and we will manage a league for you.

How does F1pundit work?

Registration is dead easy - choose a user name and password and give us your email address. Then all you have to do is click on your email link to verify your account. You can then log in to F1pundit. Once logged in, you can then set up your own league and invite your buddies to play. You'll be asked to choose a password for your league that you should pass on to your friends.

There are 2 prediction deadlines for each round of the Championship. The first deadline is for qualifying, where we ask you simply to spot the 2 drivers that will occupy the front row of the grid. This deadline is on the Saturday lunchtime at 1200 noon local time (ie: the time at the racetrack). This is generally just 2 hours before the qualifying session starts.

The second deadline is for the race itself on the Sunday. Again, this is at 12 noon local time, which is generally, but not always, 2 hours before the green light. For the race, we'll ask you to place all 8 points scorers. That's to say, the top 8 finishing places. Bonuses are awarded for accuracy and higher placings (see scoring system tab for further details). Scores will be tallied up across the entire season to determine the winner. And there you have it, may the best man or woman win and here's to an exciting season of Grand Prix racing.

You can fill in both qualifying and race predictions at the same time without penalty, but some of you may well want to change your predictions for the race after you have seen how qualifying goes. This is not a problem, simply log back in, change and then re-save your predictions anytime before the deadline passes. F1pundit is an automated website which will also send you email reminders before each round of predictions, so that you have no excuses for missing deadlines.
